The creation of this site of the Sanctuary of SS. Crocifisso (SS. Crucifix) of Grotteria  has been willed by the parish priest Sac. Giuseppe Mammolenti, firstly with the hope that this will please a lot of  people
In this new site you will find news, information, traditions, memories of our Sanctuary and of Grotteria. We hope that it can gather  witnesses, research, articles and anything else that could be found regarding our 'small' town Grotteria,  its centenarian fulcrum – the SS. Crocifisso – and its previous Patron Saint, San Gaudioso.  Secondly, it will be welcome and appreciated all people willing to concretely help with a voluntary contribution for the restoration  of the Sanctuary of SS. Crocifisso.
We hope that this modern 'modest collector' could also contribute to make know to the many emigrants of Grotteresi origins and not, forced in search of better fortune (in Argentina, Austalia, Canada, USA and many other countries) that since many years - or never – had the chance to know Grotteria and virtually 'take part' to the religiousness that their parents, grandparents, great grandparents, relatives have carried inside their hearts wherever they arrived, far from their birthplace: 'Grotteria e u SS Crucifissu'
Ideas, projects in mind are several and as technical manager of this site, I hope I can propose you all of them and that they are to your liking
